MDU was hired by Hohman and Barnard to install a Video Surveillance system for their facility in Hauppauge NY.
The system consisted of motorized PTZ cameras, day/night fixed cameras, mini domes for interior locations, and license plate recognition cameras for the facility entrances.
Vicon Industries supplied the fixed cameras, the PTZ cameras and the DVR. The license plate recognition cameras were supplied by Inex Zamir.

The Durst Organization hired MDU Integrators to install an ip based PTZ camera from Axis Communications. The camera was installed at the top of their residential building “the epic” on 33rd Street and oversees all of Dursts properties in Manhattan.
MDU installed the camera to the top rail of the roof and connected the camera to epic’s Fiber Optic backbone which required the use of Transceivers on both ends.
All PTZ Cameras have auto focus 10X zoom lenses from 3.8-38mm and a 10X digital zoom.
The License Plate Cameras utilize shuttering technology to capture details of a moving vehicle’s license plate.
The cameras also incorporate IR LED for nightime use and long zoom lenses to capture license plate details as far as 150′.
