New Buildings Under Construction

Ridge Hill, Yonkers New York

MDU has completed the first of 3 buildings totaling 600 Units at the new Ridge Hill Development site in Yonkers, NY. 

The systems for security include: an intercom system from bpt with 168 intercoms for the apartments, a Concierge Station and numerous call stations throughout the buildings parking facility and back of house locations, a color CCTV system, 16 Card Readers, and Parking Gate Control.

Navy Green is a 103 unit apartment building located in Brooklyn.  MDU is installing the intercom entry system with bpt’s new ip Digitha Entry Panel, an ip cctv system with NVR recording and access control for entrance and amenity space control.

123 Third Avenue is a Luxury Condominium Building being built at 123 Third Avenue in NYC.  MDU is installing a Video Intercom System with 48 NOVA  Video Intercom Units, a Digital Video Entry Panel, a Concierge Station for the lobby and a CCTV system with digital video recording.

HOBBS COURT:  MDU was awarded the contract to supply and install 260 intercom units for the Hobbs Court project located on 102nd and 103rd Streets in NYC.  Built by Lettire Construction, Hobbs Court consists of 2 buildings with approx 130 apartments in each building and with a Concierge at the main building.  Both buildings will have the new Digitha Entry Panel by bpt and the new Xip Concierge Station at the main building.

The Digitha is bpt’s new ip technology Entry Panel and allows for alpha numeric calling, call by code, call by apartment #, or call by name of resident.  Digitha is composed of stainless steel and incorporates bpt’s RFID reader in the panel for access control.

Each apartment will be fitted with a recessed NOVA digital audio intercom station, and the Concierge personnel will use the new PC based Xip software (see below) with a touchscreen monitor and wireless headset for communicating to residents and visitors at the entry panels.

The Xip software allows Concierge personnel to: call tenants directly, intercept calls from entry panels, then route the calls directly to the apartment.  The software is feature rich and allows staff to provide the best in services to residents of multi family buildings.

POKO Partners:   MDU is installing a bpt video intercom system at POKO Partners newest projects located in the Bronx, NY. 

Each building will also receive a color CCTV system with digital recording and access control via the bpt Digitha Entry Panel card reader module. 

700 Rosewood:  Located in the Bronx, 700 Rosewood is a 125 Unit Residential Property being built by Douglaston Development.

MDU has completed the wiring and mounting of back boxes for the recessed OPHERA Video Intercom station. (see below picture of Ophera from a different installation).

MDU is also installing a CCTV system with vandal proof mini dome cameras and digital recording.

Fortune Society:  114 Unit residential building on 141st street in NYC.  MDU supplied an audio intercom system from bpt with audio handsets and a concierge station, and 32 CCTV cameras with (2) x 16 channel DVR’s.

133 Pitt Street:  Built by Common Ground, 133 Pitt Street is a 250+ unit residential building being built at the corner of Pitt and Houston Streets in NYC.  MDU is supplying an integrated CCTV (76 cameras)and an Access Control system with optical turnstiles, and a video id badging system.  MDU is also interfacing the access control system with the building’s BMS system using BACNET protocol for “occupied/un-occupied” tenant status for buildingwide energy control.

1505 St. Marks:  Built by Common Ground, 1505 St. Marks is an elderly housing project being built in Brooklyn.  MDU is supplying a 110 camera CCTV system with Access Control and video id badging system.

L&M Projects: Over 366 apartments comprise the 4 projects being built by L&M.  These include: Harlem CornerStone, Cornerstone B-1, Columbia Hicks and 27th Street.  MDU is supplying all the Intercom, Video Intercom, CCTV and Access Control systems for these buildings.
